Mr. Lang joined PennEnergy Resources in October 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior, he was Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Tollgrade Communications Inc. responsible for all domestic and international finance, accounting, SEC reporting and internal controls as well as an integral part of the finance effort for the sale of Tollgrade Communications, Inc. to Golden Gate Capital in May 2011.
Mr. Lang was previously the first Corporate Controller and Interim Chief Financial Officer for CNX Gas Corporation (CNX Resources), a spinoff of CONSOL Energy and one of the largest oil and gas producers in Appalachia. After assisting in the formation of this entity, his responsibilities included establishment and oversight of finance, accounting, SEC reporting, internal controls, Oracle/P2ES software implementation as well as the financial portion of the initial private placement and eventual IPO of CNX Gas Corporation (CNX Resources) in 2006. As Manager of Gas/Land Accounting for CONSOL Energy, he was responsible for accounting, finance, SEC reporting, SOX implementation and SAP implementation. Mr. Lang also served as a financial analyst for Equitable Production Company, a subsidiary of Equitable (EQT), one of the largest oil and gas producers in Appalachia.
Mr. Lang began his career at KPMG spending four years in audit and finishing his time as a senior audit supervisor.
Mr. Lang is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, a CPA in the state of Pennsylvania for 25 years, a member of the AICPA, PICPA, COPAS and FEI.
