PennEnergy receives third-party verification of its methane emissions performance via the MiQ Standard, an independently certified gas (ICG) framework which analyzes a company’s performance using three categories: (i) methane emissions intensity (percentage of methane emitted vs. producedas a product); (ii) monitoring technology deployment; and (iii)company practices. Certification under this standard is conducted by accredited third-party (i.e. non-MiQ) auditors and includes extensive data review as well as site inspections, resulting in an A to F grade. PennEnergy received top marks (i.e. Grade “A”) in its original audit and continues to maintain this grade through regular reporting and annual recertification.
